King is a quiet region north of the City of Vaughan. Borders include north of King-Vaughan Road, west of Bathurst St., east of Caledon King Townline, south of Hwy 9 extending north to meet at the Bradford West Gwillimbury boundary. Rural King is made up of farmland and tiny communities throughout. The four main areas of King are: Nobleton, King City in the south, and Rural King, Pottageville and Schomberg in the north. Rural King is comprised of beautiful rolling fields of farmland. This picturesque region is full of wonderful greenspace. Each small community offers all the amenities for sports and leisure, and a golfer's haven in rural King boasting incredible courses.
King Real Estate - King offers various types of Real Estate from large Luxury homes and farms on large lots, to smaller bungalows and ranch style homes. You will find most properties are detached homes from 1,500 to 5,000+ square feet. The older homes are built on larger lots and the newer homes tend to have smaller lots especially in King City and Nobleton. Prices of homes in King have risen dramatically over the past 20 years, but are still better than the areas in the south. The average price of detached homes has risen to over a $700,000 dollars but you still get much more than in Toronto or Vaughan.
King Neighbourhoods
Nobleton - Nobleton is located in the south-west area of King surrounding the intersection of King Road and Hwy 27. Most properties offer larger lots, in addition to significant growth Nobleton has experienced over the past 30 year with a mixture of detached, splits and ranch style homes. Nobleton is a quiet and popular pocket of King. Nobleton offers a number of desired amenities including arena, community centre and sports fields as well as a smaller shopping area.
King City - King City is situated in the south east area along King Road from Dufferin Street to Jane Street. King City has experienced tremendous growth in the past 20 years and continuing to grow with new neighbourhoods. Most houses are detached and townhouses, and starting to see more condos pop up in the town. Most properties are 30ft - 60ft wide with depths up to 300 ft. Like Nobleton, King City offers all amenities including a new state of the art community centre and a beautiful library. King City has more of a large town feeling with every type of shopping and dining you could imagine. King City has been designed to still offer those greenspace places for quiet walks and bike rides.
Schomberg - Schomberg is a quiet community and a wonderful place to raise a family. Most of the town is comprised of older homes on larger lots. Many homes are detached and have been kept beautifully. Schomberg has a shopping centre for all necessities. Family home prices tend to range from $850,000 to over 2 million dollars.
